Talk to your documents with NotebookLM

With NotebookLM, your group can engage with an AI that has access to relevant case materials, making it easier to discuss insights and brainstorm solutions. Here’s how it works:

  1. Chat with the AI about the Case: The AI has knowledge about your case because sources were added to NotebookLM. You can discuss the entire case or ask questions about specific sources to get focused insights.

  2. Add Additional Sources as Needed: If you want to update or expand the AI’s knowledge, you can add new sources anytime, helping it stay current with your research or changes in direction.

Google Doc as a Living Document

One of the key sources in NotebookLM is a Google Doc linked below. This serves as a “living document” or notepad where your group can refine your ideas, outline solutions, and draft your pitch. What we recommend:

  1. Add a description of your persona and your idea(s)
  2. Talk to the NotebookLM chatbot about your idea, and how it can be improved. For instance, you can ask:
    • “if we have 15 minutes for online research supporting our idea, what questions should we research?”
    • “what are some weak points of our idea”
    • “how can we adapt our idea to better address the persona?”
    • “what are some open questions about the persona?”

Important note: after making updates in the Google Doc, remember to refresh NotebookLM so it has access to the most recent information. You do this in NotebookLM by clicking on the “Living document” Source on the left sidebar, and then clicking “Sync” in the top-left (next to the Google Drive icon).
